We sell products that have been individually selected and inspected in Japan.

At NEO TIMEsLIP, we carefully select each item within Japan.

We primarily focus on Made in Japan vintage items, selecting pieces that allow you to feel the Japanese fashion from the Showa era through the Bubble period and into the 90s, as well as designs unique to those times.

For Made in Japan products, you can feel the meticulous stitching and quality tailoring. Even for non-Japanese products from this period, due to the chaotic backdrop of the era, you often find items with unique atmospheres, such as eccentric patterns or unusual silhouettes.

We inspect each product we sell individually, taking measurements, photographing, and checking its condition.

As these are vintage and pre-owned items, there may be signs of use and age-related changes, but we communicate any confirmed conditions as thoroughly as possible through product photos and descriptions.

"To Japan of that time. A single garment transcends eras."

Rather than just lining up old clothes, we value selecting Japanese pieces that people would want to wear even today and delivering them to their next owner.

A coat once worn by workers of the Japanese National Railways.
A station platform.
A departing train.
People coming and going.
A garment that was part of daily work,
remains after a long time.
And now.
Not as a uniform,
but paired with favorite clothes, walking the city streets at night.
The black fabric,
can look navy when it catches the city lights.
The era it was made,
the place it's worn,
the reason for wearing it, are all different now.
Yet it's still cool.
Something born in old Japan,
is now living again in modern fashion.
Wearing it across generations.
This is surely what NEO Time Slip aims to do.

■ What
This is a vintage cold-weather coat used by the Japanese National Railways (JNR).
The internal JNR management tag still bears the inscriptions "Showa 57 fiscal year" and "Type 2," indicating it was a standard JNR uniform manufactured in the Showa 57 fiscal year (1982).
The Japanese National Railways was privatized and divided into various JR companies in 1987.
This means that in 1982, when this coat was made, the name "JR" did not yet exist, and JNR operated railways throughout Japan.
The black fabric appears navy when light hits it.
The interior is lined with blue diamond quilting.
This practical item, made for railway workers of the time, is a Japanese Railway Archive piece that has survived over 40 years to the present day.

■ Style
In 1982, when this coat was made, Japanese railways were still "JNR," not "JR."
Stations, trains, tracks, and the railway workers there.
This is a garment made for actual railway operations during the JNR era, which supported daily life in Japan.
The subdued black exterior and the hidden blue diamond quilting inside.
The functionality and streamlined structure required of a uniform now appear as unique design.
Today, it can be incorporated into everyday fashion without limiting styles, such as Vintage, Military, Workwear, Mode, or Street.
A garment that once supported Japanese railways is now brought back to the city as fashion.
