This is an ASICS cooling vest prepared in connection with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
ASICS was a gold partner in the sports equipment category for Tokyo 2020 and was involved in providing uniforms not only for athletes but also for event staff and volunteers.
Given that Tokyo 2020 was held in the middle of summer in Tokyo, heat countermeasures were a major challenge. The uniforms for event staff and volunteers were designed with the hot environment in mind, incorporating features such as breathability and quick-drying properties.
This product, or a similar model, was distributed as a "cooling vest" for Tokyo 2020 volunteers and has been confirmed as a heatstroke countermeasure product that uses cold packs.
